NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Curb recording artist Natalie Grant has earned the Gospel Music
Association’s most prestigious Dove Award nomination, Artist of the Year, and has been nominated once again for Female Vocalist
of the Year, it was announced today. GMA’s reigning Female Vocalist for two consecutive years, Grant’s nominations come on the
heels of Tuesday’s release of Relentless, her highly anticipated and critically acclaimed seventh recording.
Relentless features Grant’s multi-format Christian radio hit, “In Better Hands,” which has been nominated for Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song. “In Better Hands” was written by Catt Gravitt, Jim Daddario and Thom Hardwell.
Grant also received a nod for Special Event Album for her participation in the Music Inspired By The Motion Picture Amazing Grace recording, giving her a total of four 2008 GMA Dove Award nominations.
Relentless was produced by Grant’s husband, Grammy Award-nominee and Dove Award winner Bernie Herms, as well as Dove Award winner Shaun Shankel. Herms has been nominated for Producer of Year, along with additional Dove Award nods this year.
One of Christian music’s top artists, Grant is among a select few to have achieved a formidable foothold at mainstream media and radio. She is also a featured speaker and performer on both the Women of Faith and Revolve Tours; an outspoken advocate for victims of international human trafficking; and author of The Real Me: Being The Girl God Sees.
The 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held April 23 in Nashville and are slated to be broadcast live on the Gospel Music Channel at 8 pm ET.
